Integrated DC/DC Converter Topology Study for Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicles with Two Energy Sources

Conventional hybrid vehicles with two energy sources require separate on-board DC/DC converters to connect the battery and fuel cell, which have disadvantages of large size, high cost, losses few applicable operating conditions. To address this situation, paper proposes an optimized integrated converter a non-isolated multi-port scheme that integrates unidirectional port for cell bidirectional load. This can achieve combined supply recovery single converter, effectively overcoming above disadvantages. The topology is relatively simple, magnetic transformer are removed. Furthermore, switched capacitor introduced as voltage doubling unit high-gain output, so demand levels reduced under same load In addition, it has superior performance in system management vehicles, distribute power switch states by controlling on/off switching devices make suitable five driving discusses detail principles analyzes its steady-state modes, derives dynamic model, proportional-integral control scheme. Finally, simulation model built Matlab/Simulink software verify operation each state, experimental results applicability proposed topology.
